Feast for the Eyes | The Story of Food Photography

The extensive exhibition Feast for the Eyes, presented at the Foam Museum (Amsterdam) explores the most important figures and movements in food photography.
The exhibition explores the relationship between photography and food, a subject photographed using the most diverse approaches: visual arts, still life, scientific and commercial photography, photojournalism and reportage. The exhibition range from photographs made for cookbooks to symbolic photography, to images that talk about a lifestyle. The authors represented are thirty: from Edward Steichen to Martin Parr, from Edward Weston to Imogen Cunningham, from Wegee to Nan Goldin.
