Werner Bischof | Classics

The adventures of Werner Bischof, one of the greatest photojournalists of the twentieth century, in 105 of his most famous photographs that tell the world between 1934 and 1954: a journey to remote places, between devastating wars, natural sceneries, distant indigenous cultures. “An artist able to investigate the relationship of man with nature and with himself, a seeker of truth”.

The exhibition itinerary cross Europe, India, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Indochina, New York, Mexico, Panama, Chile, Peru, accompanying visitors to discover the golden years of photojournalism, the birth of Magnum Photos, the stylistic evolution of Bischof to search for expressive freedom. Curated by Maurizio Vanni and Luigi Perna, the exhibition is organized by Lu.C.C.A. and Omina in collaboration with Werner Bischof Estate and Magnum Photos, in partnership with Photolux.
