Vivian Maier | In color
24 October 2019 - 19 January 2020
Many exhibitions have been dedicated to Vivian Maier in recent years. A nanny for a living, a photographer by vocation, she became famous (by chance) only after her death. She is known to the general public above all for her black and white images, but her talent as a street photographer has also found expression in color.
The Milanese exhibition presents an unpublished selection of color shots that tell, with the usual attention to everyday life typical of the now famous and appreciated author, the American life between the ’50s and the mid-’70s. Curated by Alessandra Mauro, the exhibition is organized in collaboration with the Howard Greenberg Gallery in New York.
