Tina Modotti. L’umano fervore.

Tina Modotti is one of the protagonists of the great adventure of photography of the first part of the twentieth century and the PR2 space has chosen her as a symbol of thought and practice of a language that has intercepted, with the exhibition “Human fervor”, most of the historical moments most intense and painful of the last century.
Curator Silvia Camporesi recalled how “Tina Modotti was able to leave her mark in the history of early twentieth century photography in just seven years of photographic activity and with only 230 photographs”, 46 of which will be exhibited in the exhibition.

The exhibition therefore presents a nucleus of works that document Modotti’s path, short and at the same time full of extraordinary works. It starts from the famous “Calle” of 1924 and from the production born from the partnership with Edward Weston up to the epos of the humble, crossing the images collected in the painful and wonderful Mexico of the children, men and women of Tehuantepec, in the midst of a beautiful and heartbreaking humanity.
