Muhammad Alì

A legendary champion of boxing, a great personality who has crossed the border of the ring to enter the myth: Muhammad Alì, born Cassius Clay, who died in 2016, three times heavyweight world champion. The athlete, the man and the character narrate at the PAN, Palazzo delle Arti of Naples, in an exhibition that sums up in 100 shots sporting feats, civil commitment and intimate moments of a modern hero. Curated by Marco Pastonesi and Giorgio Terruzzi, the exhibition includes photographs from the New York Post, Life Magazine and from the Sygma photo agency. The fact on the ring, including the epic challenges against Joe Frazier in the early 1970s and the Olympic medal in Rome in 1960, alongside images of training, public appearances and moments of daily life. There is also a ring in one of the rooms, transformed for the occasion into a boxing gym, where videos of the most famous boxing match are shown.
