Milan in the ’60s | History of a unique decade
6 November 2019 - 9 February 2020
Booming Milan in the ’60s, between economic development, social metamorphosis, new cultural trends. The city of skyscrapers, the subway, design, great rock and jazz concerts. The city that lives, works and produces, between the fog and a thousand metropolitan lights.
The exhibition at Palazzo Morando celebrates the prodigious decade of a city that ran to grow and become great. Through evocative photographs, posters, design objects we retrace with a hint of nostalgia the exceptional period that transformed the face of Milan, the city with which the whole of Italy dreamed. Until the tragic awakening of the bomb attack in Piazza Fontana on 12 December 1969.
