Mario Testino. Unfiltered 2.

After the success of the first part of the exhibition ‘Mario Testino: Unfiltered’ – from 2 December until 26 March – the second exhibition phase: the Milanese gallery also presents an exclusive body of unpublished works thus revealing the lesser known, more spontaneous and intimate of the artist.

“Mario Testino: Unfiltered“, the famous artist and photographer’s first major solo show ever hosted in an art gallery. The exhibition project will develop in Milan in two appointments: the first from 1 October to 27 November 2021, and the second from 2 December to 28 February 2022. Alongside the most unobtainable and iconic photographic works in large format, the Milanese gallery will present in also exclusive a body of unpublished works, available in new formats and editions, thus revealing the lesser known, more spontaneous and intimate side of the artist. “Taking pictures continuously, for many years, it is nice every now and then to reflect on yourself and observe what others capture and see in my photographs” – Mario Testino. The ambitious exhibition project will bring to the attention of Italian and international collectors more than 50 works carefully selected by the directors of the gallery and Mario Testino. The exhibition itinerary includes not only the most beloved muses of the photographer, including iconic and unpublished shots, but also expresses their vast creativity both in fashion and in the most intimate portrait in an ode to Italy.

The exhibition, in fact, will include a selection of works from the recent editorial project entirely dedicated to the artist’s love for Italy. “Discovering Italy was a powerful experience that captured my imagination. I felt a deep connection with everything I saw around me. I loved the people, the landscape, the architecture and the fact that art and beauty were naturally, simply part of life. ” – Mario Testino.
