Ferdinando Scianna ǀ Viaggio Racconto Memoria

A journey in the work of the Sicilian photojournalist, Magnum photographer since 1982. An exhibition set up in the most suitable setting: “his” Palermo. The two hundred black and white photographs of different format retrace his career, through a visual tale divided into chapters. Not only the Sicilian memories, but also faraway horizons: journeys and places, obsessions and rites, religious ceremonies and portraits, including the ones of Ferdinando Sciascia, the great writer and close friend of Scianna. And again, fashion and reportage, with images “found in the hazard meeting with the world”. A world described through the lens with a lucid and sensitive look.
