Ferdinando Scianna | Journey Story Memory

Casa dei Tre Oci in Venice will be hosting an anthological show of Ferdinando Scianna, Magmun photographer from 1982. The exhibition covers more than fifty years of this Sicilian photographer’s career, through 180 works in black and white, divided into three wide-ranging themes: Journey, Story, Memory.

Nor only Sicilian memories, but also: journey and places, obsessions and rituals, religious ceremonies and portraits of members of cultural world. And again, a series of fashion photos that Scianna made in Venice, (a testimony to his strong link to the city) and reportages, with images “found in the hazard of the encounter with the world”. A world described through the lens with a sensitive look.
