Un mondo giovane | Le nuove generazioni nello sguardo dei fotografi Magnum
16 December 2018 - 3 March 2019

Stories of young people, from the Fifties to nowadays, seen by eleven great photographers from the international agency Magnum Photos. Different historical moments, different places, in which the new generations face life and leave their mark, following a universal thrust, a mental attitude typical of youth.
The baby boomers by Wayne Miller, the post-war period in India and Japan, documented by Werner Bischof, the hippy Californian communities captured by Dennis Stock; the ’68 in Paris by Bruno Barbey, the youth and the religion by Abbas. In times closer to us, fear and insecurity dominate: Martin Parr shows the precarious work in the call centers, Lorenzo Meloni documents the war in Syria, Antoine d’Agata the emigration as a liberation. And more, identity and women of Jeddah by Olivia Arthur, the terrorist attack at Bataclan in Paris in 2015 documented by Alex Majoli, the growth of two cousins in the Argentine pampas by the Alessandra Sanguinetti.
Dreams, hopes, the desire to change reality: a world apart that Robert Capa, in the 1950s, invited the Magnum colleagues to register through their lens.
