L’arte e la città

In collaboration and in connection with Centro di informazione e documentazione CID/Arti visive and Urban Center di Prato, the Centro Pecci of the Tuscan city inaugurates “L’arte e la città”, an exhibition aimed at the valorization of the artistic and historical heritage of Prato.

The exhibition, divided into three sections, was created as a dialogue between unpublished archival materials and works belonging to the collections of various museums and institutions. The works on display aim to analyze the relationship between the urban environment of the city of Prato (understood as a reflection of a metropolitan context in constant renewal and extension) and the works of contemporary art that were conceived or created in the same geographical area.

On the occasion of the exhibition, a series of events aimed at stimulating connections with works and cultural initiatives in the city and connections with productive activities in the territory will also be organized.
