Un’idea di paese

Spazi Fotografici organizes, together with Fondazione Un Paese and ISIA Urbino, a contemporary re-elaboration of the original project “Un Paese” by Paul Strand and Cesare Zavattini.

Taking the aforementioned book as a photographic compass, the exhibition proposes a collective visual narration that traces the history of Luzzara (RE) through archival works and images of contemporary (and not) authors. The original project, which carries on its shoulders a tradition and a not indifferent legacy, was the protagonist of a period in which the social landscape, together with the visual narrative, took on new forms and meanings.

Exactly like the work of Strand and Zavattini, Spazi Fotografici takes the historical and cultural context of Luzzara and redesigns it with the work of artists of the caliber of Stephen Shore,  Luigi Ghirri, and Olivo Barbieri.

Finally, on the occasion of the exhibition, a workshop will be organized in collaboration with Archivio Bellosguardo, with the intent of offering a training opportunity on the valorization of photographs and archival materials for the creation and activation of an active work group in the territory.
