DESCRIPTION:The celebrated photographer’s  innovative insight is among the most important contributions to photography of the second half of the 1900s. In 1983 Ghirri set off on a personal journey across Apulia and took hundreds of photographs: back then\, an important selection of these shots was exhibited at Fiera del Levante in Bari.\nGhirri’s family have gathered film negatives and original photographs to recreate the artist’s journey through the images he captured. Ghirri loved Apulia dearly and he often returned to this region with friends that were very close to him\, such as the singer Lucio Dalla\, the author Gianni Celati and the Apulian intellectual and photographer Gianni Leone. \n
