SUMMARY:LUCE NATURALE - Fotografie di Gabriele Basilico e Luca Santiago Mora
DESCRIPTION:Gabriele Basilico’s shots are compared with the work of Luca Santiago Mora in the Laterlite factory in Rubbiano di Solignano (Parma); the aim is to give a dual visual key to understanding industrial space and the relationship that human being has established with it\, and how this relationship has changed over the past forty years. \nBasilico photographs the place “factory” in its period of more complex and radical change: from a symbol of proletarian aggregation and trade unionist struggle of the 70s to a simple workplace worker in the 80s due to the strong wave of neoliberal privatization of businesses and companies. \nMora\, after about forty years\, resumes in his shots the same places immortalized by Basilico in the ‘83 and re-reads the industrial space as a subject that breathes\, which lives of its own life thanks to the tools and equipment of the workers who animate and color it. The human presence is never evident\, but always suggested\, and enters into a close relationship with the rectangular glimpses that allow the viewer to peek into another world\, natural and bucolic\, distant and antithetical to the one in which these windows are inserted. \n
